Historical Society is Founded at GSTU

On February 26, 2020 a new historical society, named after Ekvtime Takaishvili, was founded at GSTU. Georgian Historical Society was founded in 1907 by Ekvtime Takaishvili and throughout its history fulfilled various noble and remarkable deeds for the country. Members of the society were well-known Georgian scientists and public figures: Ivane Javakhishvili, Akakai Shanidze, Arnold Chikobava, Simon Janashia, Giorgi Chitaia, Sargis Kakabadze etc. chairman of the society, Mr. Otar Jordania addressed audience, GSTU students and academic personal and talked about the role of the society, he also named Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili as a chairman of Gori Historical Society and Mr. Sosiashvili was elected as one. Mr. Niko Javakhishvili, Eldar Mamistvalashvili, Otar Janelidze, Ioseb Alimbarashvili gave speeches during the meeting. At the end of the event, Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili informed audience about planned activities of the society.
