On April 22, 2016, within the framework of student days 2016, book presentation was held at GSTU. Author of the book is Mr. Rostom Chkheidze. “Crown of thorns” tells as the story of first president Zviad Gamsakhurdia, his life and career and last days of his life.
The event was hosted by Head of Administration , prof. Giorgi Khorbaladze, in his speech he mentioned the importance of writer-students meetings where students are able to hear from them about their books ; Events reflected in the book first hand.
Mr. Chkheidze talked about Zviad Gamsakhurdia- as a talented person and his death under suspicious circumstances. Stories and theories related to his dubious death.
Jemal Injia , Eldar Mamistvalashvili, Ioseb Alimbarashvili, Ioseb Chumburidze, Marine Tsertsvadze, Vakhtang Inauri , Ana Imnadze and others also made comments about the book.
