10 June,2022

On June 9, 2022 GSTU an event, dedicated to the 175th birthday of a great Georgian political emigrant took place. Teachers, students, guests from other Georgian Universities attended the party and remembered his role in creating Georgian history with Ilia Chavchavadze. Varlam Cherkezishvili was the person who mainly took upon himself the hardship and responsibility to be a leader of the national movement outside Georgia.

The meeting that was held at GSTU was informative for the audience as is the one-week exhibition, dedicated to Varlam Cherkezishvili. GSTU is the second university that hosts the exhibition. The event was opened by deputy rector Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili. Other speakers, Gocha Feradze, Eldar Bubulashvili, Otar Janelidze and GSTU students Tako Dumbadze.
