opening the center of digital humanities

On November 1, 2022 the minister of education and science of Georgia Mr. Mikheil Chkhenkeli opened the center of digital humanities. In his opening speech, the Minister reviewed the importance of such an event for internalization of Science and integration with the European scientific field. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili presented his book “History of Little Liakhvi Gorge”. The book gives us the lengthy details on geography, local history and lore and is a fundamental study of the region. The author describes agricultural and cultural history of occupied villages, demographic data, population settlement, travel roads, monuments of cultural heritage and inscriptions with proficiency. Mrs. Tamar Makharashvili, Nunu Mitskevich , Valerian Gobronidze Mikhxeil Shakulashvili and Jaba Samushia also attended the opening ceremony.
