On February 24, 2023 The Embassy of Italy initiated a movie premiere “ Kordon” ( The Border), directed by Aliche Tomasian. The event was dedicated to the one-year anniversary of Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine. The event was opened by Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, who expressed the gratitude and appreciation toward the Italian Embassy and the ambassador Mr. Enrico Valvo on behalf of the university, he also gave a brief review on wars, their devastating results etc. Mr. Valvo informed the audience that the movie will be shown in 35 countries and thanked the university for its willingness to hold the premiere and to be actively involved in the campaign against the war. The documentary tells us the story of five Ukrainian women, who returned back to the warzone to help their countrymen. The story depicts the tale of a thousand unnamed heroes. Students, teachers, and interested persons attended the premiere.
