GSTU literature café, named after late poet Giorgi Makharoblidze, hosted a presentation on scientific theses “ Montessori pedagogy and new technologies” by Mario Valle, translated by Mrs. Maia Turabelidze. The event was opened by Mr. Giorgi Khorbaladze , who gave a brief review on the significance of the Montessori’s book in the scope of pedagogy. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili also gave a speech and reviewed the translating process, GSTU’s willingness to be involved in educational, scientific and creative activities, one of the millstones in regional decentralization.

The book describes parallels between Montessori methods and pedagogy, how modern technologies are applied in the field to help childhood development, anatomy-physiology, age-related psychology, living conditions, school systems, old and contemporary era etc. – tells Mrs. Maia Turabelidze.

Mrs. Tamar Gelitashvili, representatives of GSTU academic staff: Paata Kurdadze and Nodar Mirazanashvili also mentioned the importance of such activities in their speech. The book will be a substantial resource for pedagogy students, pre-school and school teachers and for the persons working in the field. A writer, Mr. Gizo Tavadze, editor-in-chief of journal “ Mtsvanekvavila” and a friend and a big supporter of GSTU, also attended the event. At the end of the event, parties discussed modern methods of pedagogy.
