On May 5, 2022, the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia held a presentation of Giorgi Sosiashvili’s book “ Arbo, Paris, Lima…”

The book tells us true stories of an old village, Arbo, situated in Liakhvi Gorge , famous for its antiquities, its life old and new, ethnic image and political history, cultural heritage and sacred pieces. Author gives us a story of the family of Giorgi Juruli, a member of the first republic of Georgia, Ilia Makarashvili and his family, his life’s work .

The book is rather informative and a good historical and scientific source with numerous historical documents and photos enclosed in it. The author painstakingly studied the genealogy of the Juruli and Makarashvili families. The book also gives as abundant material for military studies, Georgian theatre, Tskhinvali and Batumi cultural educational life- says Mr. Mirian Khositashvili. Other professors and well-known public figures: Otar Janelidze, Paata Natsvlishvili, Gocha Javakhishvili, Ioseb Chumburidze, Eldar Nadiradze, Sergo Vardosanidze, Kakha Kvashilava, Giorgi Khorbaladze and Lela Makarashvili also gave speeches and praised authors work during the presentation.

The presentation was led by Ioseb Alimbarashvili, the book was published by the Parliamentary Library and was given to the audience as gifts at the end of the meeting.
