Scientific session, dedicated to the two hundred anniversary of St Aleksandre Okropiridze took place at GSU. The session was fulfilled with collaboration of University and Gori, Ateni and Nikozi and Tskhinvali dioceses. The scientific session was opened by Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, who reviewed religious-educational work of St. high priest Aleksandre Okropiridze and dean Irodion Okropiridze. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili talked about life-giving cross and Shida Kartli, HE Andria (Gvazava) talked about St. Aleksandre Okropiridze’s life’s work.

Mrs. Mariam Koberidze presented a thesis on St. Aleksandre and Georgian Language, Mr. Nikoloz Otinashvili –“ the Okropiridzes -our contemporaries”, Mr. Zurab Okropiridze –“ High Priests of Disi” dean Giorgi Karelidze –“the history of Orkopiridze’s life’s work”

Along the event, an exhibition on the topic was placed at GSU.
