Working Visit

On January 24, 2015 Gori State Teaching University hosted a delegation from the University of Warsaw with the following members: Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Lifelong Learning, Professor Tadeusz Tomaszewski, Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Professor Jan Michałek, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, Professor Andrzej Lisowski , Dean of the Faculty of History, Professor Elżbieta Barbara Zybert, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology, Professor Krzysztof Koseła, Director of the Centre for East European Studies, Professor Jan Malicki and Head of Caucasus Seminar Centre for East European Studies, Dr. David Kolbaia.
At the meeting, among the attendants were the Rector of Gori State Teaching University, Professor Giorgi Sosiashvili, the Metropolitan of Gori and Ateni Andrew (Andria) (Gvazava), Vice-Rector Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Chancellor Giorgi Khorbaladze, Head of Strategic Development, International and Public Relations Service Ana Imnadze, Faculty Deans and Representatives of the Quality Management Service. The parties discussed the prospects of future relations, outlined concrete plans, which will be implemented in the near future.
After the official meeting, Gori University Students performed folk concert for the guests. At the end of the meeting, the guests visited the Uplitsikhe Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve.
