Within the scope of the Propaganda Fide project

Within the scope of the Propaganda Fide project, an archive documents’ transcription competition was held at GSU, participants: GSU students who had been  working on the project in different stages.. The aim of the competition was to develop historical - paleographical skills among students, as well as to strengthen practical skills on working with original documents, to develop and master transcription skills for better outcome, to raise awareness among students and young researchers/ historians on exploring important and rare documents. The project is financially supported by Tamaz Bekaia Educational Fund and aims to fulfill various scientific activities such as: document recording, transcription, translation, scientific assessment/ evaluation and publication. Similar activities play a crucial role in developing research and professional skills among students, who are eager to work on historical documents and primary sources. Such activities  mold them into conscientious professionals who will make a significant contribution in an important historical document exploration and proper and reputable repository creation on Georgian historical and cultural heritage.
